Events

Events are of course all on hold during lockdown, but normally, we organise and help others with events in Ludwell Valley Park. Once we are able to do this again, come and enjoy the Park and meet other people who love it too ! (Even if it has to be at a distance of 2 metres!)  We are keen to do more and hear your ideas – get in touch, get involved!

We need volunteers who can help us to run conservation sessions over the autumn and winter. If you are interested in helping to run simple, enjoyable conservation tasks, with full support given, do get in touch.

Events coming up

2021

Conservation sessions mainly take place in the winter months,

but normally we would arrange some spring and summer events.

All this is of course on hold due to the coronavirus restrictions.

But remember, if you live nearby, you can still enjoy the Valley,

which is looking particularly beautiful at the minute.  There is

plenty of space, so you can keep to the crucial social distancing rules

ok to keep yourself and others safe.

Clearing undergrowth from young trees and wildflower patches, the Panny Path

Ludwell Life helped secure funding to create a new ‘mini-woodland’ and plant hundreds of wildflower bulbs along the Panny Path – the path that winds along the Panny (Northbrook) stream below Wonford playing fields. Weeds threaten to choke the new growth, so come and help clear some space to encourage the native species tree.

Please bring shears, trowel, kneeling mat if you have them, or a plastic bag to kneel on. Stout shoes, waterproof clothing. Note that there is no insurance cover for this event – come at your own risk.
