Community Orchard: Three New Trees

Ludwell Life are pleased to be back in action and able to meet in person to carry out more community activities in the Park.

Today, 24th January – 3 more fruit trees have been planted in the Community Orchard.

The trees are two Ponsford apple trees (a 19th century Devon culinary variety) and one Beurre Hardy pear tree.

Each tree was donated and planted to celebrate a new life: Helen and Brian Moore’s granddaughter Ursula; Anne-Marie and Matthew MacManus’s daughter (and Debbie’s grand-daughter) May; and the Smith’s son, Matthieu (donated by their family friend Lynn).

All tree donors received a certificate to mark this special planting, and Ludwell Life thank them and hope that they, and their trees, grow and flourish in the years to come!
