Come and enjoy the Park and meet other people who love it too ! We organise and help others with events in Ludwell Valley Park. We are keen to do more and hear your ideas – get in touch, get involved!

Conservation sessions

We need volunteers who can help us to run conservation sessions over the autumn and winter. If you are interested in helping to run simple, enjoyable conservation tasks, with full support given, do get in touch.

Tree planting in Ludwell Valley Park. Planting mixed native species to keep the woodlands well stocked and cover up patches that need trees.

Meet at the gate onto the park, outside Grandisson Court, (that’s the street name confusingly), off Bishop Westall Road.

Wear stout boots, bring wet weather gear and a drink.  0797 4414613 for any queries

Sunday 13th January 2019

10.30am -12.30am

 Second phase of planting up the Community Orchard. 

We hope to make this every bit as enjoyable as last year, with cakes and other goodies and hot drinks made on the campfire. See you there!

 

 

Walks

No guided walks on offer at present, but hoping to bring some to you soon. If you are interested in helping to lead occasional small group walks around the valley park, do get in touch.

City Nature Challenge Event at Ludwell Valley Park

Hosted by Devon Wildlife Trust. Part of national and international initiative to encourage people to be part of logging the wildlife and plants in their local green spaces. Experts on hand to lead spotting walks, absolutely everyone welcome, family friendly event.

Planting hedge whips

Some of Ludwell’s hedges need replacement whips where gaps have appeared. A short, enjoyable session putting whips of native species in with our wonderful expert guide, Chris Moulton from Exeter City Council.

Meet at the orchard field, on the cycle path that runs between Wendover Way, Southbrook estate, and Pynes Hill business park. Wear stout shoes and weather proof gear. Bring a drink.
